Bromus rubens (Red brome) is a species of annual grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Iraq, Azerbaijan, Israel, Nicaragua, Syria, Tunisia, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Afghanistan, France, Libya, Turkmenistan, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. It has simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and dry fruit. It is a photoautotroph.
