Paspalum notatum (Bahia Grass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, the contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, eastern north america, Mata Atlântica, Goiás, Cerrado, Pará, Distrito Federal, Mato Grosso, Paraná, Pampa, São Paulo, Amapá, Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, and Espirito Santo. Bahia Grass has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 56 cm.
