Setaria vulpiseta (Plains Bristlegrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to the contiguous United States, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, Bahia, Pernambuco, São Paulo, Caatinga, Paraíba, Maranhao, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Santa Catarina, Cerrado, Rio Grande do Sul, Pantanal, Mata Atlântica, Piauí, Alagoas, Amazônia, Rio Grande do Norte, Mato Grosso do Sul, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, and Paraná. Plains Bristlegrass has simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. It is a photoautotroph.
