Oplismenus compositus (Running Mountaingrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, the contiguous United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Paraná, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo. Running Mountaingrass has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 5.7 m.
