Bromus catharticus (Rescuegrass) is a species of perennial grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Distrito Federal, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Pampa, Mata Atlântica, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Paraná. Rescuegrass has simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. It is a photoautotroph.
