Chloris barbata (Swollen Fingergrass) is a species of annual grass in the family True grasses. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Goiás, Pernambuco, Cerrado, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Caatinga, Alagoas, Sergipe, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Paraíba, Espirito Santo, and Mato Grosso do Sul. Swollen Fingergrass has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph.
