They are native to Bahia, Hawaii, Caatinga, The Hawaiian Islands, Puerto Rico, AmazôNia, The Contiguous United States, North America, Pará, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 0.16 m.
