Fimbristylis cymosa (Tropical Fimbry) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is native to U.S. Virgin Islands, the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, the contiguous United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio de Janeiro, Caatinga, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Maranhao, Paraná, Piauí, Amapá, Amazônia, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Alagoas, Pará, Bahia, Cerrado, Paraíba, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, and Espirito Santo. Tropical Fimbry is a photoautotroph.
