Dioscorea bulbifera (Air Yam) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dioscoreaceae. It is a climber. It is native to Vietnam, Guam, Liberia, Saint Helena, Marshall Islands, Palau, Australia, Micronesia, Burkina Faso, Myanmar, Ghana, Réunion, Madagascar, Nepal, India, Nigeria, Malaysia, Sierra Leone, Indonesia, Bhutan, Asia, Africa, Cameroon, Uganda, Laos, China, Northern Mariana Islands, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Cambodia, New Caledonia, Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Thailand, Mauritius, and Senegal. Air Yam has simple, broad leaves. It is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 3.8 m.
