Cyperus imbricatus (Shingle Flatsedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is native to Puerto Rico, Pampa, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Sergipe, Pernambuco, Bahia, Paraíba, Santa Catarina, Pantanal, Maranhao, Piauí, Mato Grosso do Sul, Caatinga, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Amazônia, Cerrado, Rio Grande do Norte, Mata Atlântica, São Paulo, and Alagoas. Cyperus imbricatus is a photoautotroph.
