Carex atherodes (Wheat Sedge) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to North America, The Contiguous United States, Western North America, Alaska, and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves and green flowers. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
