Hedera helix (English Ivy) is a species of shrub in the family Araliaceae. It is a climber. It is native to United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Austria, Libya, Switzerland, Poland, Morocco, Algeria, Cyprus, Ireland, Armenia, the Netherlands, Israel, Turkey, Sweden, Ukraine, Lithuania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Russia, Italy, Tunisia, Denmark, Hungary, Belgium, Belarus, Norway, Syria, Yugoslavia, Latvia, France, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Greece, Lebanon, Albania, and Slovakia. Lierre Grimpant has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Leopoldius signatus (Wiedemann 1824). Lierre Grimpant is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 6.3 m.
