Hedera helix (English Ivy) is a species of shrub in the family Araliaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Portugal, Cyprus, Morocco, Greece, Romania, Belarus, Turkey, France, Denmark, Israel, Tunisia, Latvia, The Netherlands, Algeria, Sweden, Armenia, Yugoslavia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Lithuania, Norway, Moldova, Poland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Libya, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy, Lebanon, Albania, and Syria. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Leucozona lucorum, Baccha elongata, Genista Broom Moth, and Halyomorpha halys. Individuals can grow to 6.3 m.
