Fatsia japonica (Paperplant) is a species of shrub in the family Araliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Polistes chinensis, Phrissogonus laticostata, drone fly, and Common European earwig. Individuals can grow to 3.5 m.
