Pouteria torta is a species of tree in the family Sapotaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to AmazôNia, Caatinga, Mato Grosso, Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Bahia, Piauí, SãO Paulo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mata AtlâNtica, Cerrado, and GoiáS. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 26 m.
