Tatera indica (Indian Gerbil) is a species of rodents in the family Muridae. It is found in the Palearctic and the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a solitary invertivore. Individuals are known to live for 84 months and can grow to 168 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
