Sorex ornatus (Ornate Shrew) is a species of mammals in the family shrews. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. Ornate Shrew is a solitary, diurnal invertivore. Individuals are known to live for 17 months and can grow to 5.57 g. Reproduction is dioecious.
