Sambucus canadensis (Canadian Elder) is a species of shrub in the family Adoxaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, Puerto Rico, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Attagenus piceus, bees & apoid Wasps, NO NAME!, and Canadian Tiger Swallowtail. Individuals can grow to 8.2 m.
