Chlosyne nycteis (Silvery Checkerspot) is a species of butterflies in the family brush-footed butterflies. They visit flowers of Narrow-leaved Sunflower, Common Buckwheat, blackeyed Susan, and eastern purple coneflower. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 42.5 mm.
