Also reported to be an open substratum egg scatterer (Ref. 1672).

Found in brooks, swamps, pools and small streams in the coastal rainforest (Ref. 3788). Not a seasonal killifish; occurs in coastal lowlands with pure freshwater (Ref. 84174). It is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
