Schoenoplectus americanus (American Bulrush) is a species of perennial grass in the family sedges. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is associated with freshwater habitat. American Bulrush is native to U.S. Virgin Islands, the contiguous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Canada, United States, North America, western north america, eastern north america, Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina.
