Brief Summary
provided by EOL authors
There are around 6,400 species of harvestmen. They are often called daddy longlegs, as most species have very long legs. Harvestmen are related to spiders, and like spiders they have eight legs. But they are different from spiders in a lot of ways, including that they do not make webs. The common daddy longlegs is found in many parts of the world.
