Idiurus macrotis (Long Eared Flying Squirrel) is a species of rodents in the family scaly-tailed squirrels. They are native to Ethiopia. They are solitary, nocturnal herbivores. Individuals can grow to 87.23 mm. Reproduction is dioecious. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on gliding to move around.
