Genetta genetta (Small Spotted Genet) is a species of mammals in the family viverrids. They are native to Algeria, Zambia, Chad, Benin, South Africa, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Niger, Morocco, Egypt, Angola, Yemen, Gambia, Mali, Namibia, Guinea, Lesotho, Sudan, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Oman, Côte d’Ivoire, Uganda, Djibouti, Libya, Senegal, Nigeria, Eritrea, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, Botswana, and the Palearctic. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 408 months and can grow to 552.4400000000001 mm. They rely on running and arboreal (locomotion) to move around.
