Ophioglossum (Adderstongue) is a genus of herb in the family Ophioglossaceae. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Alaska, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, The Contiguous United States, Greenland, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada. They have simple leaves. Individuals can grow to 8 m. They have alternation of generations.
