Symphyotrichum foliaceum (Alpine Leafybract Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, Alaska, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, simple leaves. Flowers are visited by Yellow Head Bumble Bee, Woodland Skipper, and Phyciodes mylitta. Individuals can grow to 0.61 m.
