Pyrus communis (European Pear) is a species of tree in the family Rosaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by Andrena flavipes, Blue Orchard Bee, Red Admiral, and Melanostoma mellinum. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
