They are native to Maranhao, Distrito Federal, AmazôNia, Amapá, GoiáS, Mato Grosso, Alagoas, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Rio De Janeiro, Pará, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso Do Sul, Roraima, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, ParaíBa, RondôNia, Minas Gerais, and Bahia. They have compound, compound leaves. Individuals can grow to 21 m.
