Favites halicora (Larger Star Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. It is listed as near threatened by IUCN and in CITES Appendix II. Larger Star Coral form marine reefs. It is a photosymbiotroph. Individuals can grow to 352 µm. Larger Star Coral has alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; it is a broadcast spawner and a hermaphrodite. It has no parental care. It is a sessile animal.
