Pluvialis dominica (American Golden Plover) is a species of birds in the family Charadriidae. It is found in the Nearctic, the Neotropics, and the Indo-Malayan Realm. It is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 194 g. Reproduction is dioecious. American Golden Plover has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
