Charadrius leschenaultii (Greater Sand Plover) is a species of birds in the family Charadriidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Afrotropics, the Palearctic, and Australasia. Greater Sand Plover is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 87 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Greater Sand Plover has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
