Upupa epops (Eurasian Hoopoe) is a species of birds in the family hoopoes. It is found in the Palearctic, the Indo-Malayan Realm, and the Afrotropics. It is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 83 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Eurasian Hoopoe has parental care (cooperative breeding). It relies on flight to move around.
