Turdus merula (Common Blackbird) is a species of birds in the family thrushes. They are found in the indo-malayan realm, australasia, and the palearctic. They visit flowers of True grasses, Cupressus leylandii, common honeylocust, and Pyrus bourgaeana. They are diurnal. Reproduction is dioecious. They have parental care (pair provides care). They rely on flight to move around.
