Anas acuta (Northern Pintail) is a species of birds in the family Anatidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Indo-Malayan Realm, Antarctica, the Neotropics, the Afrotropics, Oceania (Australia and islands), the Nearctic, and the Palearctic. It is a diurnal omnivore. Individuals are known to live for 27.4 years.
