Coragyps atratus (Black Vulture) is a species of birds in the family New World vultures. It is found in the Neotropics and the Nearctic. It is a diurnal vertivore. Individuals can grow to 2700 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Black Vulture has parental care (social group). It relies on flight to move around.
