Ixobrychus sturmii (Dwarf Bittern) is a species of birds in the family Ardeidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in the Afrotropics and the Palearctic. Individuals can grow to 150 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Dwarf Bittern relies on flight to move around.
