Gallinago megala (Swinhoe's Snipe) is a species of birds in the family Scolopacidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in Australasia, Oceania (Australia and islands), the Indo-Malayan Realm, and the Palearctic. Individuals can grow to 8 oz. Reproduction is dioecious. Swinhoe's Snipe relies on flight to move around.
