Charadrius alexandrinus (Kentish Plover) is a species of birds in the family Charadriidae. It is associated with freshwater habitat. It is found in Australasia, the Indo-Malayan Realm, the Afrotropics, the Neotropics, the Palearctic, Oceania (Australia and islands), and the Nearctic. Kentish Plover is a diurnal invertivore. Individuals can grow to 58 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Kentish Plover has parental care (pair provides care). It relies on flight to move around.
