Ostrea edulis (Native Oyster) is a species of mussels in the family oyster. It is native to Mediterranean Region, Ireland, Croatia, France, Sweden, Morocco, Spain, Europe, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Italy, Norway, and United Kingdom. Native Oyster form shallow marine sediments. It is a suspension feeder. Individuals can grow to 1530 g. Native Oyster has sexual reproduction. It is a sessile animal.
