Callinectes sapidus (Blue Crab) is a species of decapods in the family swimming crabs. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic and The Neotropics. They are diurnal omnivores. Individuals can grow to 225 mm. They have parental care (paternal care and female provides care).
