Hydroid colonial, stolonal, growing on an underlying sheet of perisarc; hydrothecae sessile or shortly pedicellate, adherent to substrate, deep, tubular to sac-like, margin upturned, even or lobate, operculum a single flap or conical, formed of converging segments demarcated from margin; nematophores present or absent; gonophores as fixed sporosacs, gonothecae sessile, adherent to substrate.
