Alopias vulpinus (Tresher Shark, Tresher) is a species of modern sharks in the family thresher sharks. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), the Palearctic, The Neotropics, Pacific Ocean, Ethiopia, and The Nearctic. They are solitary carnivores. Individuals can grow to 760 cm. Reproduction is ovoviviparous and iteroparous. They rely on swimming to move around.
