Carcharodon carcharias (Great White Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family white sharks. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN, as endangered by COSEWIC, and in cites appendix ii. They are native to Indian Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, and Pacific Ocean. They are solitary, nocturnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 720 cm. Reproduction is ovoviviparous and iteroparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on swimming to move around.
