Squalus acanthias (Cape Shark) is a species of modern sharks in the family dogfish sharks. It is listed as endangered by IUCN. It is associated with freshwater habitat. Cape Shark is a solitary carnivore. Individuals can grow to 9100 g. Reproduction is iteroparous, ovoviviparous, and dioecious.
