Bathypterois grallator (Tripod Spiderfish) is a species of bony fishes in the family spiderfishes. It is a solitary planktotroph. Individuals can grow to 43.4 cm. Tripod Spiderfish has sexual reproduction; it is a hermaphrodite. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
