Centaurea scabiosa (Greater Knapweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Polyommatus coridon, small heath, Lasioglossum albipes, and Lasioglossum xanthopus. Individuals can grow to 0.72 m.
