Calendula arvensis is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have simple, broad leaves and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Gonia picea, Neocnemodon, Macrotylus nigricornis, and drone fly. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
