Helianthus hirsutus (Hairy Sunflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Atalopedes huron, Dieunomia heteropoda, and Nemognatha nemorensis. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m.
