Helianthus maximiliani (Maximilian Sunflower) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, United States, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Monarch, American Hover Fly, Helophilus fasciatus, and apoid wasp. Individuals can grow to 1.5 m.
