Ageratum conyzoides (Tropical Whiteweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. It has a self-supporting growth form. It is native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Solomon Islands, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia, Mato Grosso, Amazônia, Cerrado, Amapá, Amazônia, Rio Grande do Sul, Roraima, Pantanal, Bahia, Distrito Federal, Pampa, Rio Grande do Norte, Maranhao, Mata Atlântica, Rondônia, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Tocantins, Sergipe, Paraná, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Goiás, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Caatinga, Santa Catarina, and Piauí. Tropical Whiteweed has simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Dactylurina staudingeri (Gribodo 1893). Tropical Whiteweed is a photoautotroph. Individuals can grow to 2.3 m.
