Ageratum conyzoides (Tropical Whiteweed) is a species of shrub in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Pantanal, Tocantins, Cerrado, Alagoas, Mata AtlâNtica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Ceará, Amapá, Pampa, Puerto Rico, Distrito Federal, Maranhao, AmazôNia, RondôNia, Colombia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Piauí, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Ecuador, U.S. Virgin Islands, Paraná, Rio De Janeiro, GoiáS, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso, Costa Rica, Peru, Nicaragua, Caatinga, Acre (Brazil), Pará, Solomon Islands, SãO Paulo, Santa Catarina, Sergipe, Roraima, Mato Grosso Do Sul, and ParaíBa. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by sweat bees, Megachile piliceps, Braunsapis foveata, and Ceratina nyassensis. Individuals can grow to 2.3 m.
