They are native to Yugoslavia, Belarus, Belgium, Georgia, Greece, Albania, Germany, Italy, Azerbaijan, France, Turkey, The Netherlands, Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Russia, Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Estonia. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.29 m.
